Media Arts is the study of human communication through film, photography, video, audio, computer/digital arts, and interactive media.

It uses elements and tools of current and emerging technologies to create works
that express feelings and ideas.

Importance of Media Art

It helps to develop language and communication skills. It represents various facets and symbolic criteria from communities, cultures and historic events etc, all of which increase cognitive thinking and promote community connectedness. Exploring art helps to unlock people’s mood altering that can improve emotional health and attitude.

PHOTOGRAPHY

Photography is used using a camera, which uses a lens to focus an object. It project an image through a hole, allowing the artist to make an accurate tracing of an object or scene. The idea behind is that instead of capturing a realistic subject, the photographer is aiming to produce a more personal atmospheric impression. 

Print Media

Philippine Print Media is classified into broadsheets, tabloids, business, weekly magazines and monthly magazines. There are two types of broadsheets, national and regional. National broadsheets are newspapers that are circulated nationwide or all over the Philippines.

Magazines and newspapers are the dominant traditional print media used in advertising. Brochures, flyers and other collateral pieces are sometimes referred to as print collateral. While digital media expansion has affected use of print, it remains a viable way to advertise.

Print media is one of the oldest and basic forms of communication. It has the advantage of making a longer impact on the minds of the reader, with more in-depth reporting and analysis.

It provides information and transfer knowledge. Even after the advent of electronic media, the print media has not lost its relevance.

Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.

When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
